Electrostatic Atomization

This text is concerned with the discussion of electrostatic atomization of liquids and the problems associated with the production of stable and reproducible sprays in conditions most suitable for practical applications and for studies of the fundamental processes governing this type of atomization. Many devices have been constructed using the method of electrostatic atomization, but the process by which this occurs is still not understood. There is no definitive theory on the subject, and many observations have not been explained. This book focuses on the relation between theories and observations, hence showing up the gaps in existing theories. A review of the varied applications of electrostatic atomization is included, as are the results of research carried out at Brunel University.
