Amina Davis has always been the odd one out. Always. From uncomfortable comments during history class, to the glares she receives while walking through her predominantly neighborhood, Amina has always been isolated.

When irritatingly popular Amber Wilson and her friends recruit Amina to make posters in order to aid Amber's bid for presidency, Amina strikes a deal

with the trio, an agreement that's bound to guarantee Amber's spot as president.

But when the unapologetic Laura Johnson starts school at Acadia, Amina finds herself drawn to her, and when Laura asks Amina to be her campaign manager, Amina agrees to help her campaign for presidency.

It seems like a lost cause, what with the popular girl trio and the arrogant Brett McSomething also vying for the coveted spot.

But with the help of a group of misfits, the chances of victory might not be as low as Amina thinks.
