English Army Lists of the Early 1640s

Contains ten army and navy lists covering the Bishops' War of 1640, the English Parliament's response to the Irish Rebellion of late 1641, and the outbreak of the first English Civil War in 1642. All are transcribed directly from copies of the original documents, giving the names of 2,200 men including officers of horse and foot, naval commanders, and auxiliary staff.
