Episodios nacionales III: Mendizábal

Mendizábal is the second novel in the third series of Episodios Nacionales by Benito Pérez Galdós. The title refers to an important politician in Spanish history. This story tells of his adventures in politics, as well as military and foreign affairs. The novel also presents Fernando, who assumes the role of narrator and through whom the setting and culture of Madrid is conveyed.
