Equity in Public Employment Across Nations

The subject of equity in public employment is currently one of the most important aspects of public personnel management. Equity policies are meant to bring minorities and women into public employment often to correct past discrimination. How justly one could provide employment opportunities to minorities without adversely affecting and thus generating the animosity among the majorities, and how to ensure merit and administrative efficiency are very serious questions. Given the current debate in the United States, the experience of other nations would be of great use in developing proper public policies. Presented here is the experience of several nations by experts from respective countries.
