Thomas Davies is a bachelor enjoying a comfortable life working from his flat in London. His chosen profession: researching and locating rare books. A visit to the British Museum to view a recently discovered Sumerian artifact ends in bloodshed and a cover-up. Just when Thomas thinks the events of the recent past are behind him, a strange man visits his flat unannounced. Not long after, the carnage from the museum is repeated within his own home.
