In the spring of 1945, the Second World War is about to end. The coast of France is riddled with mines that the Nazi army left hidden under the sand to prevent the Allies from landing. In Hyères, on the Côte d'Azur, German prisoners are forced to clear the beaches. Alongside them, members of the Resistance, maquis and other French volunteers face this dangerous task.
