EU/Turkey Relations in the Shadows of Crisis

Since Turkey's EU accession has arguably come to a halt with the freezing of several negotiation chapters in 2005, Turkey and the EU have been through many internal and global crises. As a result of these crises, while the priorities of both parties have changed EU-Turkey relations advance still at a snail pace rather than totally breaking down. In this book, main crises that both Turkey and the EU have been challenged for the last decade are assessed from a perspective of their impacts on economic, political, social and cultural relations by answering the question if the crises trigger a revival or a break up of EU/Turkey relations. To sum up, the book aims to challenge the future of the relations between the EU/Turkey by discussing the impact of the crises on not only the Parties but also their relations, by displaying both imperfections in the EU/Turkey Association and the future cooperation/accession alternatives between the EU and Turkey.
