Exploring the Old Testament

Although most of the Old Testament is in the form of history, it is essential to understand that it is not merely human history, but it is human history written from God's point of view - or more specifically, human history from God's point of view as it relates to Abraham and his descendants. The human stories included in the Old Testament are not there simply because they happened, but they are there because they reveal something about the relationship between God the Creator of all things and His creation. Exploring the Old Testament will take the Bible student beyond the simple Sunday school lessons and journey deeper into the books of the Bible while avoiding the often confusing, murky waters of higher criticisms of the Bible texts. In the end, the student will have a greater understanding and appreciation of the writings that make up the Old Testament and have a guide to further studies.
