The regular "Snellen eye chart" invented in 1862 is still in use today to test eyesight at a distance of 20 feet. This chart fails to test 'NEAR VISION' skills that are essential for reading. Vision is complex and important for learning. Millions of students of ALL AGES, many of those with 20/20 eyesight, have unidentified EYE TRACKING and VISION PROCESSING problems that interfere with their success in school.

Eye tracking and visual processing skills provide a foundation to learning; if undetected, students struggle and assume they "are not smart." This leads to frustration, behavior problems, and academic failure.
One major reason why so many parents and teachers are frustrated with their students' difficulties in reading may be due to vision-based learning problems. These near vision issues are SO COMMON that they affect one in four students. Why doesn't everyone know about this? So many parents and teachers assumed that if their student tested 20/20 on the eye chart, they had good NEAR VISION. This assumption is false.
