When basic needs are implicit, power, sex, and ego become the commodities of craving, driving some people to go way beyond the boundaries of acceptability to achieve their fix. Tom Taylor was one such individual. He had everything. A beautiful and loving wife, a successful publishing company, and all the money needed to fund a substantial house, luxury cars, and a yacht, but for Tom that was not enough. He needed the attention of a mistress, a much younger woman who would stroke his ego and satisfy his demand for extramarital sex. It was exciting living on the edge. What he hadn't bargained for was her falling in love with him. Tom's story is not unique. He was handsome, charismatic, charming, and a social magnet. He drew people in. Friends and acquaintances were in abundance and business deals invariably went his way. As the relationship with his mistress evolved she became more challenging. She wanted him to herself demanding he divorce and marry her. Tom's mistake was to promise her he would do just that but had no intention of leaving the woman he loved.
