False Measures

Gathered from extensive family interviews, False Measures delves into Matthew Sr.'s past and describes the many demons he wrestled with most of his young life.

This memoir describes the love-hate relationship with his father, Anthony, in an abusive household; his enlistment in the Army and service in Vietnam; his struggles with substance abuse; his marriage to Susan; and his tragic death.

"False Measures" explains how demons from within one soul can affect many different people. Not only does this memoir honor the life of the author's father, but it also shows how Matthew was shaped by his father's demons and early death and how he will spend his life trying to fulfill his father's dreams of peace, contentment, and tranquility.
