Families

This work addresses itself to how the family and its individual members grow and develop; how they respond collectively and individually to the changing challenges from society. Individual members can be helped or hindered by the family. A developmental perspective is adopted. Among the topics covered are family formation, different forms of family building and sibling and family relationships in childhood and adolescence. The book also addresses cultural and ethnic issues. It is aimed at psychology students and teachers, social workers, nurses, medical students and sociology students.
