When Sam, an aspiring gardener from Connecticut, falls in love with a pretty girl from his hometown, he is convinced the stars are aligned. Anxious to do anything to show his love for her, Sam books a one-way ticket and follows her south to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon his arrival on New Year's Eve, she hits him with the truth; Sam is shocked at what he discovers.
