Seventeen-year-old OSCAR GRAY can’t sleep—and not just because of his illness that threatens to blind and possibly kill him. He can’t sleep because of the vivid dreams he keeps having. 

Meanwhile, LINCOLN AESTEN is living with his abusive, alcoholic father, and is hiding a secret that threatens to tear him apart. 

When the two teen boys meet in an art therapy group, they are immediately drawn to one another and begin to share their darkest secrets and most haunting memories. 

So begins a journey of self-discovery as a dying boy learns to live from a boy with every reason to want to die.
