Fires of Rome

"Fires of Rome" is the companion book to "Year of the Passover." Using the dates established in "Year of the Passover," "Fires of Rome" takes a close look at Roman and Jewish history as it relates to Christian history from the Passover of A.D. 36 when Jesus was crucified, up to the end of the Jewish revolt in A.D. 73. Only the most ancient and veracious of sources are used in this secular, non-judgmental, and unapologetic work. Of particular interest are Roman General Lucius Vitellius, who likely precipitated the crucifixion of Jesus in Jerusalem, and the Second Temple High Priest Ismael, who, in his pursuit of revenge against Paul the Apostle, could have played a key role in Nero's decision to blame the Christians for the horrific fires of Rome in late A.D. 64.
