Five-year-old Ana Cristina immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1961. With no family to care for her, an American couple picks Ana up from an orphanage and takes her home. They raise Ana as their own, even changing her name to Anne Murphy. Twenty years later, Anne's world is turned upside down when her adoptive mother reveals Anne's identity. Anne is devastated but determined to learn the truth about her past. So, she sets out on a journey of self-discovery that leads to her biological mother. But is Anne ready to confront her past and start a new life?
