Forgiving a Perfect God

Suffering through tragedy or injustice is painful. God is perfect and innocent of wrongdoing, yet He is often blamed even by those who serve Him. Feelings of animosity and resentment can't continue, but since He's perfect, does He need to be forgiven? How does one forgive someone who is not at fault? How do you forgive a "Perfect God''?
