Pettway is the founding pastor of The Full Gospel Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Detroit, Michigan which began ministry in 2005. Full Gospel is the manifestation of many years as interim and permanent pastor for several Disciple Churches in the Metro Detroit Area. She is currently a senior staff therapist with the Grace Counseling Center of Detroit where she specializes in Marital Conflict Resolution, Depression, Anxiety, Low Self Esteem, family and individual counseling. Dr. Pettway is often requested as a lecturer and workshop facilitator, presenting such topics as Depression, The Gift of Relationship, Self-Esteem (Temple or Trash Can?), Divorce Recovery, Managing Grief, Mother-Daughter DIS-Connect and many other areas of life experience. Dr. Pettway is also trained as an Imago Relationship Therapist. Dr. Pettway is an associate professor with Heritage Center for Religious Studies where she teaches Christian Counseling, Pastoral Care, and Preaching Eulogies.
