From My Window

Rena left us in the summer of 2022... She left behind a body of work, some witty, some whimsical and some scathing, which we believe deserves a place in our library. We take pride in publishing some examples of her stories and poetry for you to enjoy.
>As a certified and celebrated tour guide, Rena leaves us impressions of her trips around the world in a poem Travelling Through The Alphabet. In Along The Route Of The Voyageurs she takes us on a journey long before Canada was converted from a vast, vibrant wilderness into modern metropolitan cities.
Rena's writing touches on her beginnings as a fledgling writer in My Dream Of Being A Writer and fiction pieces such as A New Twist To An Old Tale and A Silly Little Story. Her fictive pieces touch on romance, life and love and nature in My Secret Garden.
Always a woman with strong opinions, Rena's Ruminations are outstanding pieces ranging from nostalgia in Neighbours, and My Three Cats, As I Reminisce About Things, to mystical encounters with Ghosts In My Life. Faced with the ravages of Covid, she took up her pen and wrote World Disasters and How Can The Birds Sing, completing the segment with a nostalgic outlook on life with From My Window.
