Fustat Expedition Final Report. Vol. 1

This is the first volume reporting on the eight full seasons of excavations carried out at the site of Old Cairo by the American Research Center in Egypt. Fustat will prove to be a most important site for understanding the social structure of large medieval cities in the Middle East. Included in this report is a complete publication of the filters, which collates previously published data and provides updating and greater precision to the dates assigned previously to the excavated artifacts.
