Armed and guided across a fey country by ghosts, Keiphral must race against a host of defilers to find a Hidden City. Once there, he must discover a secret hidden by Malice.

Arwë, Herald of Wildercrown, is no stranger to secrets. Traveling with a companion whose kind are hated most in all the world, Arwë is brought into the trust of a people in hiding whom the Kindreds of Leóhteness-Fal never knew existed. Upon being brought into this conspiracy, Arwë is given another secret to keep, along with a task: Protect the one who will restore light to a dying world and guide her into the care of the Healer and the Sojourner.
