Gaze

Like his grandmother and others from his family line, Aaron's gifts allow him to gaze beyond what the world sees. As he looks into a stranger's eyes, for good or ill, their inner being is revealed. When he meets Sara Knight, he catches a glimpse of a fleeting shadow, some secret that lies behind the beautiful face of his law school classmate. In that moment, a mystery begins to unfold as Aaron uncovers more of his own family's history and Sara's lineage. Together, the two unearth truths perhaps best left hidden and expose a dark underworld where life means little.

Aaron's exploration brings to light his grandparents' bravery as Jews during the rise of Hitler and his own parents' work to fight for and support the new nation of Israel. This journey into the past reveals many twists and turns that lead these characters to the final discovery and an exciting finale.
