James Claude Beasley tells his personal story of service in the US Navy during World War II. Born in 1924 he was a typical teenager in the 1940s, a product of the Great Depression. He possessed a firm commitment to family and country. His recollections of time in the Navy consumed his thoughts and actions and followed him throughout his life.
