Ghosts of the Boys' Ranch and Other Stories

The Boys' Ranch was and is a residential treatment center for wayward and delinquent boys. The stories take place between 1973 and 1985, the time I was a counselor there. It seemed no matter how much time passed, certain of the boys stories were burned into my memory. This book puts those memories on a printed page. It is not a fictional ghost story although some of them have undoubedly passed through the mortal veil as they were not inclined to live life on the safe side. It is an account of their struggles, triumphs and failures, their failures oftentims having a haunting quality, hence the book title. The Other Stories are an account of interesting, funny, boisterous, tumultuous and sometimes sad characters I have run across in my life. It is all of their stories.
