God Rich in Mercy: 24 Hours for the Lord

God Rich in Mercy (Eph 2:4) is the, Pastoral Resource that will be used by Catholics who, join Pope Francis in the second year of his initiative, 24 Hours for the Lord. This title mirrors the theme, that will guide reflection this year.

The purpose of this resource is to offer some, suggestions that will enable parishes and Christian, communities to prepare themselves to live the Pope's, initiative during the penitential season of Lent. For 24 hours on March 13-14, the faithful will be, offered the opportunity for Confession and Eucharistic, Adoration in parishes designated by Bishops in their, respective dioceses. It is thought, as possible, the, 24-hour period could conclude on Saturday evening with, the Vigil Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Lent.

During this time, Pope Francis himself will preside, at a penitential celebration at St. Peter's Basilica in
