Graeme Park, near Horsham, Pennsylvania, is the only surviving residence of a colonial Pennsylvania governor. The Georgian house was built in 1722 as a summer residence for Sir William Keith. It was later owned by Dr. Thomas Graeme, a prominent citizen of Philadelphia who renovated the house into a more elaborate residence, and was passed down to his daughter, Elizabeth Fergusson, who was prominent in literary circles and hosted some of the earliest salons in America. The guidebook examines the house as High Georgian architecture, recounts the lives of the three main occupants of the house, and concludes with a tour of the house and site.
