Do you want me to tell you a story? There's so much more to tell...and time passes all too quickly here. What was once clear gets harder to see. There is more danger in this world than you can ever know.

It was a year and a half before Cain returned.

Things had changed. I had a life and a family again, friends that I cared about. I didn't want to give that up for some fate I hadn't chosen...but I wanted to protect them.

Cain taught me to use my Power. I didn't like it. I didn't like the work. I didn't like the secrets. Cain was acting weird, and I hated being kept in the dark.

But there is more at stake than I thought. There are still the Avadis...and I didn't know how dark the world could get.
