Madeline Blair (ne Udelhofen) is a writer, poet, editor, artist, flutist, and owner/operator of her own handmade knitwear business called Skye Made. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and currently attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in French. Her poetry has been likened to that of Sylvia Plath before she read any of Plath's work. These poems (and the one essay) encompass parts her life from the past six years, drawing from her experiences with familial ties, mental health struggles, healing from trauma, and being in love. Madeline lives with her two cats, Romeo and Gatsby, and her boyfriend Grant and his dog Luna. She enjoys collecting fancy tea, cooking extravagant meals,
knitting during class, buying fake plants, building houses in The Sims, and watching French films.
