Happiness Is A Smile

I have been writing poems for several years.
My intent was to write about everyday problems,
surprises, inspiration, fun, romance, and love.
God is everywhere in this book and he should be.
My faith in him is strong.
Creating a Christian book has been very important to me.
I started writing in high school and continued in college.
I had a great teacher who always encouraged me.
The poems began to flow when I had matured in my faith.
I have a large and loving family,
including my husband, five daughters, and thirteen grandchildren.
I enjoy being in my garden as much as I can,
picking roses, flowers, and pulling weeds.
I like to paint, and have some of my paintings hanging in our home.
Enjoying a drive in the country and the seashore is something I like to do,
watching the waves, seals, and sea otters too.
I thank God for the life he had given me, with my loving parents, brother, and sister.
There was always laughter in my house when I was growing up,
usually from my brother who liked to tease my mother, sister, and I.
Thank you Lord.
