Coincidence is one thing Kenna MacNeill absolutely does not believe in. She leans toward fate, and despite having suffered her fair share of heartbreak, she hasn't let go of the belief that her person is out there. Somewhere. Probably. But it's almost definitely not that one older woman she met and flirted with years ago.

There aren't many things that can throw Trace Sutherland off her carefully managed course, but even she can admit there's always been something about Kenna MacNeill. She hasn't forgotten the moment they met, even though she'd love to forget nearly everything else about her life at that time.

Eighteen years later, one random sighting couldn't possibly mean more than paths crossing in a small town. But one run-in leads to two, leads to three. What Trace yearns to view as coincidence, Kenna can't help but to believe is fate. Regardless of what they name it, neither woman can deny the spark between them never extinguished...but if they continue to douse it with fear and stubbornness, they may lose the chance to see how bright they can burn.
