This autobiography follows Joyce Callahan Clark, who, in 1940, was born in a boxcar her family called home in rural Arkansas. She grew up working alongside her family in the cotton fields, moving from home to home seeking field work, and attending small schools. She married the love of her life, Clinton Clark, in 1956 and their shared goal of a successful life led them to a farm in LaCygne, Kansas, where they settled and raised their family.
