He Whom a Dream Hath Possessed

This book treats the life and works of the American biblical scholar John Knox (1900-1990). Utilizing Knoxs own autobiographical works and having obtained previously unpublished materials from those closest to Knox, the author re-presents Knox as possibly the most neglected New Testament writer working in America during the twentieth century. By thorough analysis and development of Knoxs scholarly contributions concerning a range of topics drawn from New Testament studies and ancient Church history, the author concludes that Knox was a man ahead of his time and, furthermore, that modern readers will find in him a nearly prophetic voice from the past.
