Heads or Tails - a Memoir

Truly a "dog lovers" book for anyone who has even fallen in love with one and lost it. It is the story about a dachshund who was rescued from a dog pound in Arizona and then brought to the Midwest where he lived for six years. During that time, he nearly died from a mysterious intestinal ailment which doctors could never quite diagnose. He underwent a complete blood transfusion in order to save his life. Three years after that, he suddenly became paralyzed and had to be euthanized. This is story about love and hope and despite enormous pain, it is also a celebration of what dogs bring to their owners through their unfailing love and loyalty
