Hello, Zapata, Hola! is a bilingual children's book that features 29 places of interest in Zapata County. It offers a brief but thought provoking reflection of each place along with a corresponding photograph. Its purpose is to encourage children and young people to take note and take pride in their own communities and learn as much as they can about their history, their people, and their places of interest. Some suggested classroom activities to develop different language skills also complement this work.
