Herakles

Herakles, son of Zeus and Alceste, hated by Hera, commits an atrocity at her instigation and must atone for his sin by performing twelve labors as directed by his rival, King Eurystheus of Mycenae. This ancient tale has been re-written as a hero-poem and illustrated by C. R. Bryan in 200 drawings. This volume is the first of two. Each quatrain is placed with a drawing.
