Highway Geometric Design: Application of Design Standards in InRoads is primarily intended for use as a textbook in university-level courses that deal with roadway design. This book is aimed to apply geometric design standards in InRoads to design a typical highway interchange. This is the first edition from the draft manuscripts that have been extensively tested in the classrooms at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (or Cal Poly Pomona). The process and procedures employed in this book can be useful for students who are interested in the design standards and controls of other state Departments of Transportation (such as New York Department of Transportation (DOT), Georgia DOT) for the interchange design. Design software InRoads from Bentley is selected in this book. The design process and procedures described in this book can be implemented in other design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
