Holistic Prayer

The purpose of this book, in its broadest sense, is to find meaning in prayer. In a world where prayer has become void of soul, this book attempts to fill that void. In the process, fundamental thoughts that form the bedrock of Jewish intellectual theory are discussed. This book also draws heavily from sources outside the prayer book, in an attempt to present themes of Tefilla in a sophisticated, scholarly manner while, at the same time, transmitting wisdom in ways that are accessible and inspiring. With this in mind, original texts and more popular works will be presented throughout in an effort to synthesize intellect with emotion, the mind with heart and soul. The varied themes which will be presented in the book yield a work whose style has many different voices.
