"What happens when the righteous right sweeps a national election and puts the United States under their version of Sharia Law?" (Tempest Times, New York) "Holy Fire" describes a dystopian future in which fundamentalist Christianity, the Mafia, the plutocrats who control the Boston Tea Party, and politicians and preachers whose only motivation is money and power gain control of the USA. Their goals are, at first, similar enough to make them allies, but what happens when greed and lust overtakes them? What happens when a few people, guided by the principles of The Enlightenment, rebel? Can they make a difference?
