Yasser and Amal move into a new home in Riyadh and prepare to welcome their first child, but soon their happy life together is marred by a series of inexplicable events. Although painful personal experience makes Yasser suspect that dark forces may be at work, he also worries that he may be suffering from mental illness and tries to shield his wife from both possibilities. Tossed about by increasingly troubling signs, they alternate between denial and despair.
