House of Spirits

History. It can be kind, or it can be harsh, but it is always truthful. No one can alter or spin the story of one's life. It simply is. These are the stories of ministry. There is light to be found in these stories but darkness as well. Unfortunately, we live in a broken world with broken lives and broken homes, but Jesus heals our brokenness and gives hope - now and eternal. Sometimes that hope comes late to us in this life but with Jesus there is always hope. Without Jesus hope is a made up illusion that can only be found at a carnival or on television.


Take this journey and you will have a glimpse - just a glimpse - of what it means to be a pastor to so many people over a lifetime - the lifetime of 'The Pastor of Howard County'.
Joseph Scott Butcher received his undergraduate degree from Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri, and received his master's degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Church has always been a primary focal point in his life. Jesus spoke of greatness. Jesus said that the greatest among us would be a servant. Is there any greater servant than one who has dedicated themselves to the pulpit ministry and serving one's own community throughout life? This book is dedicated to those who have done so, and to the one who this book calls 'The Pastor of Howard County'.
