Maximise your chances of OSCE success with this easy to read, practical and engaging study guide for students of nursing and midwifery at all levels. Unlike general study skills books, this text will help you with your practical preparations. It features realistic case studies, ten top tips from students and OSCE examiners as well as a unique preparation countdown timetable to the OSCE day.

This illustrated book contains essential information about OSCEs including clear explanations of what a typical OSCE will entail, details on what types of skills and knowledge you may be assessed on, insights from students based on their experiences and hints on what the examiner will be looking for. A comprehensive chapter on personal learning will help you to identify what type of learner you are and provides strategies to maximise your learning in preparation for the OSCE.

Features include:

  • Opportunities to think through each aspect of the OSCE
  • Quick quizzes at the end of each chapter to test your knowledge
  • Recap and recall summaries of each chapter to highlight the main points
  • An OSCE preparation plan for you to develop according to your own personal needs.
