Hyperthermic Oncology: 2v

As the worldwide search for cancer treatment continues, interest in hyperthermic oncology grows stronger. This two volume set forms the proceedings of the 5th International Symposium on Hyperthermic Oncology which was held in Kyoto, Japan, from 29th August to 3rd September 1988. This latest symposium provides an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of recent experimental and theoretical results from the viewpoint of biology, physics, engineering and clinical medicine. The most recent developments in hyperthermic oncology are described and analyzed by leading researchers in this comprehensive survey of the current status of the field. The total number of the papers presented were approximately 600, 400 contributed papers in Volume I, and in the region of 200 invited papers in Volume II. The vast amount of information contained in these proceedings reflects the increasing importance of this technique for the treatment of cancer.
