I am a Sunflower, the Sunflower is Me

Want to inspire her resilience? 

This book was written with young Black girls in mind (particularly those in foster care) as a reminder of their worthiness, to aid in validating and increasing their self-esteem and promoting resilience regardless of their environment.  Fun fact, I actually wrote the book while I was still in foster care.

The book highlights qualities of a sunflower and its needs, while giving the reader an opportunity to reflect on her own unique qualities and needs to grow and be the best version of herself. It affirms the reader's worthiness, uniqueness, needs to be loved, and overall resilience.
