I Have a Secret

Christine Cashwell runs a successful bakery in the small town of Claremont. Formerly engaged to her long-time beau, Seth Seymour, she wants only to forget the history they share. The arrival of Army Sergeant Major Billy Johnson gives Christine the edge she needs to move on from the hurt caused by Seth's infidelity. Though Seth claims that his relationship with the mayor's daughter is over, Christine isn't inclined to believe him. Despite her continuing attempts to end things for good, Seth refuses to go away causing complications in the spark between Christine and Billy, who is nursing a broken heart of his own.

Kendra Meyers has no intention of letting Christine forget she's the one who took Seth away from her. When Kendra's found murdered in her own home, Christine will have to grow closer to Seth as a cloud of suspicion surrounds her. With her freedom and future at stake, Christine will have to pull out all the stops to find the identity of Kendra's killer.

The story takes place in Virginia in a small town where the hometown feel is wonderful and adamant with the locals. Christine runs a coffee shop and loves baking. She meets the love of her life while her life takes a tailspin downward. She develops her skills as a sleuth which helps her find the answer to her problem with being a suspect in Kendra's death. The outcome hurts, but she must follow the path to the end to arrive at her final destination.
