A down-to-earth tale about making a life in aviation. Filled with episodes both good and bad, sometimes hilariously light-hearted, sometimes deadly serious. They will ride with the author as he learns how to fly floats, sprays crops at night in a 600 horsepowered Stearman, takes off blind in the fog at night from a dangerous mountain airport and suddenly discovers that the panel lights are inadequate, performs air show loops and rolls. Moore begins the adventure with an actual dialogue of WWII "V" mail -- photocopied and censored wartime correspondences that open up a window into his mother and father's lives to reveal their passion for aviation.
