In 1987, Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer Andre Bigras and his family started on what Andre called in a magazine article "a fantastic journey." This book is not a biography (in my judgement one should be written), but rather it's a record of those eternally important truths that come from the mind and heart of a man who is thoroughly trained and experienced in presenting his case based on facts. There is nothing uncertain about Andre Bigras. He is certain of that which he has learned as a long-time officer of the law, a 25-year follower of Christ, a student of God's Word and of the human condition, and now an ordained minister. I have personally benefited by carefully reading this vital information and am delighted to recommend it to others.
David Mainse, founder of Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. and the national 100 Huntley Street television program.
Author Andre Bigras and his family became believers in Jesus Christ during a 1987 meeting in Pembroke, Ontario, where David Mainse was speaking. Sensing a call to ministry, Andre was ordained in 1998 while serving as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It was during this time that he became involved as a volunteer in an outreach to the poor, homeless and addicted in the inner city of Ottawa. After retiring from the R.C.M.P. as a staff sergeant in October 2009, he served as volunteer chaplain for both the R.C.M.P. and the eastern region of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.). Presently, Andre is the founding pastor of The Potter's Wheel Christian Fellowship, in Aylmer, Quebec. He also serves on the executive of the Drug Prevention Network of Canada, a group of dedicated volunteers who desire to help drug abuse victims overcome addiction through prevention, treatment and enforcement programs.
