Thirty years since our democratic breakthrough, the sprawling shacks of Alexandra township still exist side by side with the palatial mansions of Sandton. A country with the surface appearance of unity thanks to iconic moments such as Rugby World Cup wins by the Springboks, still faces many challenges when it comes to issues of racial integration and social cohesion.
