Ida's Trunk

Ida's Trunk, set at the end of the Victorian era, is a heart-tugging love story of a young couple of faith with ordinary ambitions. The daughter of an early Norwegian settler, Ida, has been thoroughly trained and is willing to do the hard work expected of a woman living on a farming homestead. It is all she knows.

After much argument, Ernest and Ida's parents decide that moving away from the harsh Dakota climate is the best course of action for Ida's health and their little family's future. This agonizing decision means Ida will leave behind their precious infant daughter.
