Bangladesh is widely recognized to be one of the most climate vulnerable countries in the world. It experiences frequent natural disasters, which cause loss of life, damage to infrastructure and economic assets, and adverse impacts on lives and livelihoods. Urban poor are extremely vulnerable to this climate change and disaster implications and the implications is even stronger in the case of Dhaka city. Global warming driven climate change affects Dhaka primarily in two ways: through floods and drainage blocking and through heat stress. Objectives of this study are mainly to review the disaster and climate change implications to the urban extreme poor. As extreme poor are deprive from all supports like health, education, shelter etc, they do not have any protection against any kind of disaster.
